Company History

Woodharbor Doors & Cabinetry, Inc. was founded by Curtis, Dennis and Jon Lewerke in October of 1993. With several years of prior experience in custom home building and over 15 years of prior history in the manufacturing of custom kitchen and bath cabinetry, the Lewerke brothers brought to Woodharbor a clear vision and an exciting new product niche.

In the 1970's, the Lewerkes were custom home builders. Unsatisfied with the quality of the cabinetry available to them, they began manufacturing their own line of cabinetry for the homes they built. That cabinetry, Fieldstone, became known nationwide in the kitchen and bath cabinetry industry for its excellence in quality and design. Fieldstone Cabinetry, Inc. was founded in 1978 by Curtis, Dennis and Jon Lewerke and was sold to Masco Corporation in 1985. The Lewerkes continued at the helm of Fieldstone until 1993 when they founded Woodharbor Doors & Cabinetry, Inc. with a new and exciting product niche idea they called the Woodharbor Home.

The "whole home concept" of interior millworks is one that has not been accomplished within a large-scale manufacturing operation. The Lewerkes were breaking new ground by making this concept the core of their entire production, marketing and sales philosophies. It was a concept they coined "The Woodharbor Home" - a complete line of interior millworks that complement and match each other in design, quality and finish.

Woodharbor manufactures two cabinetry product lines, Woodharbor, a premium, custom cabinet line and Rockglen, a custom cabinet line with fewer custom offerings for the more value conscious homeowner. All Woodharbor cabinetry brands are solidly crafted with plywood sidewalls, 3/4" thick dovetailed drawers, tandem undermount drawer slides, a premium "catalyzed conversion varnish" finish system and a variety of premium woods. Beautiful "Designer Finishes", distinctive architectural details and innovative accessories are available to design your one-of-a-kind custom kitchen.
